Can I send to a BFPO address?

Yes — you can send to a British Forces Post Office (BFPO) address with Royal Mail. 

British Forces Post Office addresses are postal addresses for British Army personnel stationed at various locations worldwide. For security reasons, the exact location of a BFPO address cannot be disclosed so these addresses have a different format to regular addresses. 

Only companies that hold a BFPO contract can deliver to these locations. 

Royal Mail supports “HM Forces Mail” to BFPO addresses, meaning letters and parcels to UK Armed Forces overseas are handled via BFPO. 

When sending a parcel/large item via a UK Post Office counter or Royal Mail, the maximum is 20 kg. 

Use the correct format: include the BFPO number.
