Why have I been charged for 'Additional Handling'?
The additional handling charge is a surcharge that’s applied to parcels that exceed a certain size or weight.
These large, heavy or awkwardly shaped parcels require special handling in transit when loading and offloading from vehicles and aircraft. It takes more manpower to safely handle these parcels, and this costs more for our delivery partners, so they apply an additional handling charge to cover these extra costs.
Unfortunately we have no choice but to pass this surcharge on to our customers accordingly.
